Job Description:
Civil Engineer
Minimum Technical Qualifications
* 5 years recent civil engineering experience;
* Registration as a professional engineer with ability to be registered in
Idaho and
Colorado within 6 months of hire ;
* Good working experience with preparing construction drawing details and
plans and profiles for at least 3 of the following: water, sanitary sewer,
storm drains, and irrigation pipelines, and roads (preferably all 5);
* Preferably good working experience with preparing or design knowledge
about some of the following facility drawings: sewer lift stations, water
well and pump house and booster stations, irrigation pump stations, and
waterworks piping;
* A large share of client's workload is water resources studies,
masterplans, and hydraulic modeling, including for culinary and irrigation
water, fire flow systems, sewer systems, storm drains and channels, flood
control, and floodplain modeling, and therefore experience with such work
is extremely beneficial;
* Familiarity and ability to work in AutoCAD and aerial photography
imaging and GIS software is a plus because hydraulic modeling and studies
of ten work inside of or in association with these programs; and
* Experience with databases and Excel is necessary.
Communication and Interpersonal Skills
* Applicant must be a good speller and have excellent technical writing
skills;
* Applicant shall have good telephone skills to be able to communicate in a
professional manner with vendors, other consultants, and clients;
* Applicant must have good interpersonal skills required to be a team player.
